Obituary

Mrs. Viola Drongoski, age 97, of Coconut Creek, Florida died on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 1:10am following a brief illness.

Viola was born on May 20, 1921 in Mocanaqua, Pennsylvania.    A daughter to the late Stanley and Catherine Lewicki Bratosz.  Viola and her late husband, John who preceded her in death on November 9, 2008 had made a home in South Florida for the last 25 years. Over the course of that time, they  became active members of the Polish community here and were part of the charter members of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Viola’s memory will forever be cherished by her 2 sons, Richard  “Jersey Polka Ritchie” Drongoski of Coconut Creek and Ronald “Ronnie” Drongoski of Beach Lake, PA; daughter, Bernice Larkin, of Coral Springs, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Robert “Bob” Larkin, Nadine Larkin, Traci Drongoski and Thomas Drongoski; 4 great-grandchildren, Jaquelyn Larkin, Daniel Larkin, Christian Drongoski, Jason Drongoski; a host of cousins and friends from all over the world.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 3:30-8:00pm at  Our Lady of Czestochowa Annex, 2400 NE 12th Street, Pompano Beach, Florida 33062 where a prayer vigil will take place at 7:30pm lead by Deacon John Wielga. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be said by Fr Stanislaw Rakiej SChr “Father Stan” on Saturday at 11:00am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church. Following the mass family and friends will process to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery where Viola will be entombed next to her husband John.
